Policy note
Edition Policy & Authenticity
The Floyd T. DeWitt Trust is committed to preserving the authenticity and integrity of his sculptures. To ensure transparency, all works follow a strict edition policy and authentication process:
Edition Sizes: Larger bronzes are typically limited to 5 to 10 editions, while smaller works may have up to 25 editions.
Lifetime Casts: Numbered editions were assigned by the artist (e.g., 1/10, 2/10, etc.). In rare cases, an unintentional numbering discrepancy may exist, but these do not affect authenticity. The Trust verifies such instances to maintain accurate provenance.
Posthumous Casts: Limited posthumous editions may be completed only within the originally intended edition size and are distinguished by the Eye of Horus mark. All editions are strictly limited to those authorized by the Trust, in accordance with Floyd T. DeWitt’s original intentions. Any works cast outside these limits or without official Trust certification may be considered unauthorized."
Certificate of Authenticity (COA): Every official Floyd T. DeWitt sculpture is accompanied by a signed and stamped COA from the Trust. Collectors and galleries are advised to verify the presence of this certificate before purchase.
The Trust actively monitors sales to ensure market integrity. If you are acquiring a Floyd T. DeWitt sculpture and need verification, please contact us.

Why the Eye of Horus?
The Eye of Horus—an ancient symbol of protection, renewal, and continuity—was chosen to mark posthumous casts of Floyd T. DeWitt’s work. Reflecting his deep interest in mythology, the deity, and the cycle of life and death, the symbol honors his legacy and signifies that each piece was cast with care, from molds he approved, and within his intended edition limits. It ensures that his vision continues with integrity beyond his lifetime.
In the final year of his life, Floyd became increasingly intrigued by the Eye of Horus, often sketching its form and exploring its symbolic power. This mark now represents the continuation of his artistic vision—with integrity—even beyond his lifetime.
